Artist in Residence: art sessions for teenage in-patients experiencing chronic mental illness. We explored the notion of self-portraits working with processes such as assemblage, collage, photography and scanning, as well as large scale group paintings, charcoal drawings and films.
I was appointed as the Courses Manager at Trinity Laban in January 2005, promoted to Programme Manager for Learning and Participation (Dance) in 2010. I was responsible for the overall planning, management, co-ordination and administration of the Short Courses programme for Learning and Participation (Dance). This included a weekly programme of community based classes Adult Evening Classes and Saturday Children's Classes, International Summer Schools, co-ordination and management of international commercial visits to Trinity Laban, specialist courses in Choreological Studies and Professional Development. I was elected a Staff Representative on Trinity Laban's Board of Govenors, a representative on TL Equality and Diversity Board, and TL Knowledge Exchange and Public Engagement Board.
I have more than 17 years of experience in Learning and Participation, working with all ages and abilities from toddlers to adults. As a creative practitioner I teach visual art, drama and movement and work across a range of therapeutic and educational settings such as schools, hospitals and hospices, prisons, arts venues and universities. I have also been a commissioned artist for a number of educational projects, including Blue Elephant Theatre, Half Moon Theatre and London Bubble for Speech Bubbles.
